progress report

I'm making progress on the cookbook; it's almost done. But the writing, along with other things going on in my life right now, have been all-consuming, hence my recent absence from the blogosphere. Buttons has also made progress. She now ventures out more and likes to sleep on the cat bed with Pablo.

Buttons also comes out to cry for her supper and eat along with Pablo and Bossa Nova. And now, when I kneel on the ground, she occassionally comes straight up to my face and gives me head butts and lets me pet her, while she purrs like a motor. I think she finally knows that she hit the lottery.

Knowing cats is is hard- they think so much differently than us... It's most of their appeal!

Good luck with finishing it up!!!

I think you asked awhile back (and I forgot to respond, but this post reminded me) about who was publishing my book. That is a bridge yet to be crossed. I'm going to get it all together first and then seek out a publisher. I didn't want to deal with deadlines, so I thought I'd start the recipes first.

If I can't find one, I'll self-publish but I'd rather find one...I have a few ideas of local-ish vegan-friendly publishers.

Awesome! She may never be a classic lap cat but who cares when the rest is this good? Congratulations on turning the corner with her.

Buttons has found a true friend in Pablo. I hope they don't have to be separated. Looking forward to reading your cookbook.

You're not alone in a blogopshere holiday. I too haven't been near it much lately.

I'm so glad that Buttons has settled in so well and realized her good fortune! She's just beautiful (and Pablo is gorgeous too!)

So do you think Buttons is Pablo's Mom? They are def bonding. It would be sad to see them seperate. Mother and Child Reunion and all....

I first found your blog here, but I haven't commented before.

But I'm looking for advice on places to advertise (physical locations and online) a dinner party to benefit City Kitties Rescue, and I figure you are likely to be in the places to know the answer.

And I don't yet have a source for dessert because I am not a baker and was idly hoping you'd be interested, but no pressure since I haven't started asking around seriously yet and asking you is just a random attempt (though you would be free to plug your book).

More information can be found at my blog - http://nocounterspace.net/

top entry is the flier and two entries down is the tentative menu.

Thank you.
